Hansen Improves Tasmanian 1500m Record.

JAMES HANSEN has lowered his own Tasmanian 1500m record at the Sydney Grand Prix meet, running 3:38.90.  Capping off what has been a break out season for James, Saturday’s run has now seen him lower the previous state record held by Ryan Foster on three occasions.

The field for the Sydney GP meet included reigning Olympic Champion, Matthew Centrowitz, along with Olympians Jeff Risely and Sam McEntee, with the quality of athletes giving James the perfect opportunity to finish the year on a high after being denied a chance to run at the Commonwealth Games by just 0.5s in February.
