JORDAN TYLER smashed his 3000m personal best at the Sydney Grand Prix, running 8:22.43.
After running lifetime bests in the 1500m mid 2017, Jordy sustained an injury which sidelined him for the remainder of the year. Returning to competition for the ACT Championships at the end of January, Jordy ran a solid 1500m in 3:51.18 before backing up the next day in the 800m, running 1:53.30.
At the Hunter Track Classic, Jordy improved his seasons best time in the 1500m to 3:50.68, before heading to the Gold Coast for the Australian Championships and lowering the mark again to 3:49.64.
Stepping up in distance to the 3000m, Jordy entered the Sydney Grand Prix with a best of 8:47.84.
